VISS, LLC, offers client-attorneys access to our network of highly qualified psychologists who are licensed to conduct psycho-social evaluations of Qualifying Relatives (QRs) throughout the U.S.

In our experience, most psychologists are unfamiliar with the hardship standard for immigrant waivers. Their reports tend to focus on the QR's symptoms but fail to tie the psychiatric condition to the stresses associated with the foreign citizen's inability to enter (or remain) in the U.S.

The psychologists in our network use assessment protocols and write psycho-social reports that specifically address the separation and relocation hardship scenarios required by the USCIS.

The psychologist will provide a comprehensive evaluation, identifying any psychiatric conditions from which the QR may suffer, based on the psychiatric disorders listed in the Diagnostic & Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th Ed. (DSM-V). The psycho-social evaluation will detail the emotional and psychiatric hardship the QR is experiencing, or will experience, under either the separation or relocation scenarios, if the waiver were denied.

These reports provide substantial support to the Waiver hardship argument and can be critical to winning the case for your client.

We charge no fee for this referral service. At your request, we identify psychologists from our network who are licensed to conduct psycho-social evaluations in the QR's state of residence, which can often be conducted via video conference. Your firm can then refer your client to the psychologist for an evaluation. The psychologist would make fee arrangements for the psycho-social evaluation directly with your client.
